A fruity, aromatic, full-flavoured white. A great choice for those who like a little sweetness in their white wines, but not too much.

This wine features notes of orange blossom, stone fruit, and lychee.

Germany is home to many internationally-recognized white wines. Most of the vineyards are located in the western half of Germany, near France and around the Rhine River. High levels of slate in the soil allow the ground to absorb sunlight, retaining heat overnight and allowing grapes to grow in a country that would otherwise be too cold for many grape varieties.

Gewürztraminer is as tricky to pair as it is to pronounce. It drinks marvellously with ginger dishes, Indian cuisine, foie gras, and especially apple-based desserts like apple pie or crumbles. Spicy foods generally seem to work well. Our in-house unorthodox recommendation is medium-heat chicken wings!
