At Barley Malt & Vine, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Refund & Return Policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds are handled for products purchased through our website https://barleymaltvine.com/.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

  1. Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns in accordance with Canadian consumer protection laws. To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused, unopened, and in the same condition as received.
  • It must also be in the original packaging.
  • Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required.
  • Requests must be made within 14 days of delivery or pickup.
  1. Non-Returnable Items

Certain products are final sale and cannot be returned, including:

  • Opened or partially used wine, beer, or alcohol-making kits.
  • Fermented products created on-site.
  • Customized products (e.g., personalized labels).
  • Gift cards.
  1. Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective, damaged, or incorrect upon arrival. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, contact us at barleymaltvine@gmail.com with your order number and details.

  1. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved refunds will be processed back to your original method of payment within 7–10 business days.
  • Partial refunds may be granted (if applicable) for items not in original condition, damaged, or missing parts not due to our error.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (e.g., defective or incorrect item).

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was defective, damaged, or incorrect.
  • If shipping an item over CAD $100, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
  1. Cancellations
  • Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund, provided they have not already shipped or been prepared for on-site fermentation.
  • Once processing or shipping has started, cancellations may not be possible.
  1. Sale Items

Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items are final sale and cannot be refunded or exchanged.

  1. On-Site Fermentation Services

When you choose fermentation on our premises:

  • Fees for fermentation services are non-refundable once the process has begun.
  • To ensure the best results and proper fermentation, we require that customers stop by the store to start their kits. Our staff will guide you through the initial steps, explain any required equipment, and provide instructions to safely and correctly begin the fermentation process.
  • You are responsible for timely bottling of your product in accordance with Canadian law.
